How much does Sharegate Online cost?
Why do I need alerts on my environment anyway?
You can see it as an alarm system that gives you full visibility on what is happening in your environments. Global Administrators can sleep easy, knowing that they can simply set up and receive real-time alerts, through email, whenever a specific action takes place. There are so many ways your environment can be compromised - alerts can let you know when something is off.
Can I download Sharegate Online On-Premises?
No, at this time Sharegate Online is available exclusively for Office 365.
Can I change the email address alerts are being sent to?
Yes, you can change your email address on your My Account page.
Does Sharegate Online have access to my data?
Yes, we use the data collected by Sharegate Online to monitor activities in your environment strictly for the purpose of alerting you to any potentially malicious behaviour. For a full picture on how Sharegate uses your data, please see section 5 of the Sharegate Online Terms of Service.
For more details on encryption, you can see Security Considerations for Sharegate Online.
How are my alerts generated?
All alerts are generated through email, based on flags set up in the app. For more information on alerts, see:
Is there a way to prevent malicious behavior through the app?
No, Sharegate online is a reactive tool, it allows you to be notified of any malicious behavior and take immediate action. Through this visibility, you can create best practices for your enterprise security.

What permissions do I need to access Sharegate Online?
Before Sharegate Online becomes available for users in your Office 365 environment, it must be given permissions to your tenant by a Global Administrator.
Once the permissions have been granted, anyone can access Sharegate Online and they will have access to different information depending on their role:
- Global Administrators will be able to monitor everything.
- Users will only be able to monitor activity on their own OneDrive for Business.
- We are working on giving access to Site Collection Administrators, so that they can monitor activity on their site collections. However, for the moment they can only see activity for their OneDrive for Business.
How do I share alerts with my Site Collection Administrator?
Alert emails can be forwarded to your Site Collection Administrator either manually, or you can set a rule in Outlook to automate it.
Can I revoke Sharegate Online's access?
Yes, by following the instructions here.
Are the alerts displayed available in real-time?
Not real-time, but pretty darn close. Usually alerts are displayed within just a few minutes of the behaviour being run. If you are noticing a longer-than-usual delay, it could be due to a higher than normal amount of requests or a delay with the Office 365 Management API.
Will I be alerted if the Sharegate Online service is down or experiencing difficulties?
We take pride in customer experience, so you can be sure that in the case of any major delays, you will be notified as promptly as possible.
