Connecting to your source and destination environment is the first step in performing any migration action.

After connecting to a site, the following screen will be shown.
This is the site that corresponds to the address you entered while connecting. To connect to that site, select it and click Next.
If applicable, sub-sites are listed under the site. You can connect to a sub-site by selecting it and click Next.
Once connected to a central administration, a list of all your web applications will be shown.
The top of the hierarchy represents your central administration, but you cannot select it directly. You must either select or expand the web applications located under the central administration node.
The third objects down (in blue) are your site collections.
If you are using Copy Site Objects, you can select a web application or a site collection in order to continue.
Otherwise, you can expand the web application node in order to connect to a site collection or a subsite located under it and then press Next at the bottom of the screen.
To connect to a site collection, select the site collection and click Next. It is also possible to expand a site collection to select a subsite from that site collection.
